Executive Skills for Academic Success (Student Sessions) – 10-23-22

Is your teen/adult struggling in school because of deficits in executive functioning (planning, working memory, attention, problem solving, verbal reasoning, inhibition, mental flexibility, multi-tasking, initiation, and monitoring of actions)? Orange County Asperger’s Support Group is partnering with educational therapist, Karen Lerner, to offer an Online Executive Skills Workshop for students, ages 13-30 and their parents.

Student Sessions: (Sundays @11am – 12pm)
10/2/22: Why you should care about Executive Functioning Strategies? Organization Strategies (time management, material management, prioritizing, planning)
10/9/22: Identifying what you want and then going for it. Goal-Directed Persistence and Advocacy
10/16/22: How can I get some positive control around here? Self-Regulation.
10/23/22: Mastering the process to achieve the product. Working Memory (Active reading, listening, studying, and planning)
10/30/22: Reading Comprehension and Written Expression

This student group is intended for individuals ages 13 to 30 years. Attendees should have a diagnosis (or suspected diagnosis) of high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Student Sessions: $100 for members. $150 for non-members.
